See you & Mrs. Notthat around at one of the races. Take care.

PS: I actually borrowed one of your lines and thanked a volunteer for protecting the cars from me. He got a big laugh out of that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5756791581583911888.post-76720867514866355432017-06-19T10:39:39.209-07:002017-06-19T10:39:39.209-07:00Mrs Notthat and I were at SFRC for bib pickup on F...Mrs Notthat and I were at SFRC for bib pickup on Friday, so we weren't actually at the race (which was kind of hard - seeing all these runners excited for this race really raised the FOMO). It's funny - Brazen's first year for this race, the cutoffs were pretty tight and they adjusted them during the race. Then they set them pretty generous the following year. I hadn't heard that they were tightened up again this year (probably tied together with the earlier start) - I suspect the parks want the race done ASAP. Congrats on getting that race done! I don't think there is a better feeling than getting to Cardiac and knowing you've only got a downhill 5K left! notthatlucashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10429091759111933245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5756791581583911888.post-48442270673780675452017-06-19T01:06:34.390-07:002017-06-19T01:06:34.390-07:00Did you volunteer at Double Dipsea last weekend? What I didn't realize was that they had cut the cut-offs shorter by 35 minutes this year. Luckily I wasn't getting too close to the cut-offs despite being in the scratch group so didn't push hard on the runnable sections but that climb back up Cardiac was one long deep never ending meat grinder. At one point though, I overtook a bunch of folks returning back up Cardiac and realized that I was "speeding up" Cardiac at 31 min/mile! Thanks to your blog posts on Double Dipsea that I didn't DNF despite that crazy climb.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
